I shalt speak again!

After hours of travelling, I have finally arrived at a new city. It didn't really change much. I could simply recognize places here from my previous arrival 2 years ago. However, there was residual motion sickness, thanks to the pilot and his co-pilot, hehe. I literally saw this guy throwing out in front of me like water coming out of the fountain! Eww... I know that.

It was really hot here, not mentioning bout the chics but the weather! 5 days and not a single drop of rain, according to that uncle who drives the cab. And true enough, my body kept sweating and my skin feels as if being left over-ironed like a piece of smooth , gentle but burnt shirt, haha. Ok, then I went to this cinema just across the street and watched the iron man. Later only I realized there was another cinema just opposite the same cinema. Aiyoyo!... Both are playing the same movies, and they have only 2 or 3 movies, so boring. But prices are definitely cheaper here.

Let's move on to food. I was almost conned at my first dinner here. So dishonest trader trying so hard to cheat a foreign-lander. Do I look like someone worth cheating?? Do I?? Haha.. Generally food here is so limited, same old dishes besides those fast foods. The fast food here is more expensive than the peninsular. You can expect a meal here for more than RM4 but on average 5to6 RM on very average food, yes, very average same old food here and there. I am not impressed at all!

The people are generally nice. Maybe it's too early to tell but one thing for sure, I can't really differentiate the people here until they open their mouths. So, I will try speaking Mandarin but end up speaking bahasa as most of them are locals. The transport here is cheap if you know how to get around. I adapted very well as I took these small vans which cost around 50 to 80sen per way. Taxi is rather expensive(RM10 to 15 same routes)! There was no attempt to cheat this lil foreign-lander, so kudos mr.van drebar!

Ok, maybe you guys wonder if there was internet connection. Yes, in most hotels here but abit slow lor. I can't load too many pics coz it's really taking time. So, don't get overexcited. Work resumes tomorrow. 3 hours from here at hillside. Hmm... This is tricky coz I don't know if there is any internet connection or any other facilities.

Alright, so much for now. Looking forward to a new adventure!

PS: Sun rises at 6 something and sets around 7pm.

Good-bye KL

The time has come,
With a tone I hum,
Weeks to prepare,
Without despair.

I say to you good-bye,
The place with buildings very high,
With a lil' sigh,
The feelings shall never lie.

The flight is waiting,
The baggage is ready,
I need to start walking,
Tis' blog shall hybernate maybe.
.
Thanks for your wishes,
Thanks for your gifts,
Should I have time,
I shall write at other time.

Labour Day!

Yes, it's labour day today. I was given a book by a friend. Talk to the snail...and that really sounds funny. It's all about the French. Quite interesting and easy to read. Suitable for people like us, trying to fulfill the quota of reading 2 books/year, haha. Btw, I got another nice cd to listen to... kinda jazzy, and not really oldies. Wow... it's like Christmas season, getting lots of gifts, hehe. Keep coming in k, santa claus.

Well, this time around I don't need to work on a public holiday, and it's even more meaningful coz it's Labour Day! I remember writing something about being a labour at work, haha.. http://withdang.blogspot.com/2007/12/labour-of-love.html

Reading back on that blog, I really feel so much relief this time not needing to work on a public holiday like this. Having said that, I am kinda busy preparing myself to leave this town heading to a new job. It's gonna be interesting, no, it has to be interesting. My mind needs to be positive.

Alright, to the people out there who need to work today, H'py Labour day! Everyone recognizes your service!
