It was indeed a long break from work. Suddenly the heart felt so heavy to leave the hometown. This time around, there wasn't any drama. More time to relax (still not enough) and a lil catching up with relatives and friends.
However, any quest has to halt somewhere. Niece was getting better this morning. She went school without any fuss nor crying which was so much better than yesterday when the school reopened. I remember she clinged onto me and the gate, refusing to get into the classroom. She would give the same excuse of being tired to go to school while crying.
Mum says this morning the niece was looking for me coz she wanted me to accompany her to school. So I did, effortlessly this time. After helping her out with her school work last nite, I hope she would continue to enjoy learning in school. You know how kids could be.
It's time to go back to reality and work. I have to re-start studying. No more dilly dally. Life for the past few days was so chill. Not thinking of worries, work nor the credit card bills, haha. I have to declare that I have overspent this time and I will have to work harder when I go back. It was ok.
Alright, gonna board the plane soon. Adios!

Hpy Chinese New Year 2012
I thought being back hometown 3 months ago wouldn't set me out for another culture shock. I was so wrong! Again, it was a let down.
Setting down my feet at one of the busiest port in town proved to be hazardous. It was a total havoc. The new lrt which started off few months back was a disaster especially during rushing hours.
I went to queue up for the ticket and when it's my turn, the machine showed $2.30. So I quickly searched my pocket and I found $2.40 with the double 20c coins. It refused to accept my last 20c and insisted for an exact payment. I tried thrice and there was a queue behind me. Then I went to the counters. There were 2. I went to counter 1 and enquired. Most of the people were asked to queue at counter 2 when we told that we wanted to purchase tickets.
Again we queued up at counter 2, then we were told we had to purchase from the machine and they won't entertain customers at the counters. I reasoned with her that the machine refused to accept my credit. So she gave me smaller change and asked me to queue up again at the machine. Of course I mumbled abit in front of her coz I was so tired of queueing and waiting again!
Being in the busiest port, I really think the service sucks and the system was very badly done. The system should ease the people and not asking people to adapt them. For a person who seldom used this kinda public transport, it proved to be frustrating. Many people stucked in the station and many hours are wasted while the workers doing nothing sitting in the counter watching people struggling to get the tickets. I reckon that once I didn't know how to get through the entry port because the gate refused to open after I touched the token over the screen, this worker just looked at me from the counter with a blank face and didn't have the courtesy of helping me out. It took me sometime to figure out how to get through and he was still sitting there. Lousy company.
Then today I went to the newly opened mall in the neighbourhood. Boy, the development is so fast! When I was a kid, this place was a jungle. And now, skyscrapers are everywhere. So I went into the parking space and did a lil shopping in the mall. When I was trying to leave the parking, gosh....my nerve got irritated again. How can a mall has no signs leading people to exit!!! Cars were seen moving round and round looking for the exit point. No, it was different from the entry point. All the signs showed were merely 'parking'. In the end after taken a few turning, I finally found the exit and they started to have the sign just in front of the exit point. The colour of the sign, dark green and blue.....!@#$%. Try mixing both colours, and you will find yourself colour blind. That's really an idiotic design of the parking lot.
Ok, I know it's not really an impression, but at least I could have some rest at home today. The weather is rainy and cold. I am glad that's soothing a lil bit. Tomorrow will head to granny's place. It's gonna be a huge gathering. I need some rest then.
Have a Hpy Chinese New Year, folks!

Tradition
Aaa...today is an exhausting one. On the run since morning till evening. I wished I could have complained on other things than work. So, there is this monster. Let's call it "it". It used to portray an innocent look but it gives me a feel of more like a sarcastic one.
It wasn't that kind to me yesterday but today I guess it got no choice but depend on me. And yea, I think it would feel much better to act oblivious, haha.. okay, I know it's confusing, but let's forget about "it".
Many people are leaving for the coming holiday. And yes, I am going back hometown soon. I can't imagine the loud and noises from people who are coming back for the festive season. Not something that I would look forward to coz I've grown up I guess, haha. I'd rather enjoy to be back and visit anytime I want and not stuck in the traffic, jamming everywhere I go. What to do... life goes on, and so does the tradition.
Okay, have a fabulous holiday folks!

Welcome to this world, dear niece
Developed some skin rashes over the legs today. Probably due to some allergic dermatitis. Work is not that heavy today but it was stretched till the evening. Wonder if I could spare some time for swimming either tomorrow or the day after.
Oh yea, bro just welcomed his youngest baby to the world few days ago. Glad that everything went well and most probably will be back to see the niece during the coming CNY.
Need to keep the lazy bug away. Nitez.

I need to swim!!
Resumed back swimming after months of being dormant. It was a great feeling as the weather was so dry and hot. Even at night I am still continuously sweating. The weather is so erratic. If it rained, it rained hard. If it's hot, it's so hot. Anyways, I wonder if I was able to stick to it.
There is a very sick child, noted to have a few big worms in his mouth and the airway. I wonder how did the worms got into his digestive system and airway in the first place. Maybe they were picked up when they were small and grew over the time. But heck, they are so big like 10cm curled in the airway. Another one is still remained inside.
There is another child with half of his brain gone over the time probably due to some infection from the ear. But heck again, why did they take so much time to send the child for medical attention. I am not in a position to judge these parents but I hope other parents will learn from this.
Ok, the bed is calling. Nitez.

A pat on the shoulder
This morning, one of the superiors came over and gave a pat on my shoulder with a smiling face. I was surprised. He seemed very delighted. Everyone was looking at us. I have not seen him for sometime as I was away and he as well. All he had to say was gd, gd....
I guess the recent interview went well. I have been hearing rumours but dun wanna make any assumptions yet as I am still on a holiday mood. These 2 months are quite busy for me. The next event is gonna be CNY and again I am going back to the hometown soon. Then after, I guess I could revert back to my normal lifestyle.
For the past 2 days I had a busy time at work. I need time for the workout but yet to find any. Maybe tomorrow will be a lil better. Brr...it's so cold today. Having blocked sinus again. Need more rest.
Take care.

Happy New Year 2012
The first day of the new year has just begun. Previous years I used to have resolutions but as time goes by, I don't see myself sticking to it nor accomplishing much. Thus, I am phasing out any resolution for this year and everyday is just another day. Days, months, and years is no longer any significance.
I am sitting right now at the boarding gate of the airport. This small boy sitting next to me must have found me quite interesting coz he was all the time sticking to me and playing around my jacket. The mum kept him away from me but he just too obsessed with my jacket's button I guess.
I don't like this feeling going to the airport. It's not only exhausting but so depressing. I thought I would get over this feeling but I was wrong. Attended a friend's wedding last night and did a lil catching up with others. And now I am on my way back to my second home. There are so many uncertainties in life. I wish I would have known how to deal with it.
Anyways, what a great way to start a new year. Let's cheer up and a very happy new year 2012 to everyone!
