Wrong time, wrong place and meeting the wrong people

How many of you have experienced being at the wrong time, wrong place and meeting the wrong people? Yesterday was a delighted day because many nice surprises occured towards the end of the day. Just within 24 hours, my world had gone up side down. I was at work. While attending to a particular work, I went out to get some equipments. Upon walking out, I saw a co-worker who needed a favour. Being busy at that time, I looked around if anyone could help but none. So, I attended to her and she asked me to do a task in her favour which was informing someone regarding a case from my department. So I did. In performing the task of calling that person, I found myself talking to a rude person. The longer the conversation went on, the more confused it became. So, I decided to end the conversation to avoid further confusion by both parties. At the end, I was blamed for helping a co-worker in conveying the message. I was told not to do so as it was not within the scope of my work.
If only I did not go out to salvage some equipments that time, if only I did not pass by that place, if only I did not meet my co-worker, then I could have avoided the whole ordeal of speaking to a rude guy and being blamed! Looking at these 3 important factors, some were not as fortunate. Many of a time that we hear in the newspaper that some people were at the wrong time, wrong place and meeting the wrong person ended up paying with their lives. This includes the high profile police cases. And often people will ask, what if the victim was not at the incident site, would the story be different? I believe it is fated. I kept asking myself today why was it me and not others? Possibility is that, it was meant to be. If we know everything that will happen, then will there be surprises and miracles in the world. Wouldn't the world be more colourful and fun with surprises. Perhaps, whatever happened today and whatever consequences that might occur, it is part of my life journey. It's like a road being pathed ahead. Would I walk probably or not, would I walk faster or slower, it's all up to myself as the path is already there. The only thing we can do is to pray for guidance so that we can arrive at our destinations smoothly. So, I will still keep my fingers crossed on the coming days ahead.
