Sail the river...

The weather was getting hotter in the afternoon. I am glad that my office has an air-cond. While Kev was panting all the way in his room, haha...poor Kev. I could also see the rest were resting themselves along the balcony so to get some cool air.

crystal clear

Last week, we went to a nearby river for a bath. It wasn't that near actually. In fact, it's 45 mins from the place we are and the roads are without lamp posts. We arrived in the afternoon, just right for a cool bath under the hot scorching sun. It was Da's idea as they knew I'd always wanted to have a cool bath. Sue went along and she was supposed to go to the big city for shopping but later decided to come along and she cooked the whole morning just for our meal during this picnic. How nice.
so much food!

The river was nice and seemed clean to me. But there were alot of rocks! I hurt my feet most. Da got her both knees bruised. And the current was so fast that I was swept away few times while attempting to go further up. It was really nice cooling myself and enjoying the nature. People here are mostly local, some aborigines. But they won't care about you even if you were naked, hmmm...that one is still controversial.

Shampoo and cleaning

You could see naked children running around, and people were washing their hair with shampoo in the stream! How natural, hehe... Then from a distance, I could see the moon shying away in the sky. Hello, but it's only 4pm!

Shy moonlighting

Then, 5, then 6, we were still waiting for sue's friend. So, we decided to build the fire, and when the night came, we went for another night swim. It was just like in the movie. The moonlight was bright enough to show us the stream. It was fun. We ate, we drank and we laughed the whole night. Just missing the musics. Maybe next time we'll recruit a musician, hehe.

Me, Sue n Da (Mee Sudah..hehe)

We are looking forward for another trip after I come back from my course in the city. Da is going to arrange it coz it's Sue's Bday. In fact, it's next week but I can't make it coz I will still be away. So, they decided to postpone till the following 2weeks after I come home.

Building fire

Tonight, I have so much to pack. Leaving tomorrow for sometime. Clothes to iron and things to get ready. Gotta stop by at the head office for some documentation stuff and then proceed to the big city tomorrow. Whereas tonight, gotta attend another dinner invitation. Multitasking now.

Until then, some pics to show:

People claim this can coz laughing non-stop...izzit?

Clear rocky river

This mother carrying her baby while smoking, so macho eh? puke

Slowly the night crept in

So, that's the moon lighting our way swimming in the dark
