Phew..the ordeal is over, or at least the stress is.
Anyways, back in hometown earlier than expected because of that "ordeal" and supposedly to attend a friend's wedding at the end of the year. Can't afford to fly back twice within 2 weeks time coz the flights are horrendously expensive. So, my leave is unexpectedly extended.
The first day already evidently shows that this city will never ever be outta vehicles on the road. While people were telling me that during the school holiday season, the traffic was much better. But I beg to differ coz if this is better, I couldn't imagine what's worse.
I was late for the event as I was stuck in the traffic for more than an hour. Besides, the genius never-ending change of road structures complement with long-riding, no turning back, multiple split segmented highway in the heart of the city proves to be fatal for the weak hearted if you ever need to attend an urgent meeting which might probably change your entire life. If so, avoid the road if you ever get the possibility to travel by air, sea or whatever means, but keep away from the road!!
I am so unimpressed with the road structures and now I really find it so dangerous driving in town especially when you are away for 3 months. Basically the town transformed overnight and never seem to stay in one picture. There are new high rise buildings keep coming up and the roads are butchered beyond recognition. Literally, when a road splits, the left lane will usually entirely bring you to the right side of the earth while the right is otherwise. I was trapped by
the innocent look of the road and ended up to the wrong way when I helplessly look down on the road which I wanted to go but now the overhead was bringing me to the opposite direction.
I had to look for the nearest place to park the car and grab a cab!! Because the road is so congested, people get so impatient and they start to squeeze in from the illegal lane. On top of that, the confusing and sudden-missing signboard can be really irritating.
Ok, I better not keep going on or else this entry will become a presidential speech. Time for tv drama now. See you peeps!!
