A day of community work

Extreme Sunny Day

There we were this morning, that is.

Got up this morning at 6am, yes, darn early eh? On a weekend somemore. The driver actually came to pick me up at 7pm, therefore, had sometime to prepare. Well, this time our community event is near one of our substations, organized by the staff there with the support of the local community.

I would say that the response wasn't that encouraging. When we arrived, there wasn't anyone yet. People were taking their sweet time to come over when my eyes were already half dreamy, hehe. The river at the back was a nice hang out indeed. The extreme hot weather had compelled me to spend sometime at the river.

Puffy puffy eyes, I was simply exhausted and sleepy. Slept late the night before.

I was actually invited the very last minute. And after 30mins, people started to come over. The place was not really well-organized. This reflects the very last minute arrangement by the staff, a desperate attempt to reach out the community I guess, which I have no objections but reaching the target is what I am concern of.

I was the only attending male present that morning. So, I had to watch out what I said to them, hehe..na..I am always standing by the ladies, ceh, not true, not true. It's sorta ladies' day, concerning of women's health. Seems like the guys have no concern at all, and there were times I was teasing them, as if the guys sleep all the time at home, leaving the ladies to care for themselves. Slowly but steadily, the number of attendees rose, one by one they walked in after we had just started. Speaking of discipline (*shaking head..*)

The weather was really unbearable. It felt like burning under the skin. So, quickly I went to dip myself (naked limbs only la..) in the river to cool down abit. Hmm...what a beautiful river. Wanna listen to the sound of the river? I got it recorded, perhaps you can use it to cool down your mood sometimes, hehe.

Tomorrow I have the whole day for myself. Time to do a lil bit of laundry and cleaning. Next week will be away for 2 nights, so need to clean abit la. Lotsa meetings as well, gee... everything cramped in a week. The night has come. The sky is slowly changing hues from orangy clear sky to darkness already. Time certainly moving fast. Another entry is written here again.
