Sunny Day
Great day for training! Okay, let me recap what happened today in a nutshell. Busy busy in the morning as usual. No water supply, no time even to go for a pee, see how busy it could be. Well, thanks to my last week absence, work had been piling up. Rushed for the sports meeting in the afternoon. Great, all the senior citizens were there having meeting. I was exhausted and speechless literally. Though I felt honoured to accept the post as the vice-president of the sports council here, but the conventional management of the council had made me go speechless.
I know the system was there years ago, probably before I was even born yet. I know they are just so experienced in conducting this council, but really I beg to differ. They are generating funds from the membership fees. Full stop! Duh.. and they claimed they were so serious at running this council and when there was a problem, they blamed on the financial constraint the council faced. But did anyone think of generating income from other sources whole year long instead of using the funds to fund the sports expenditure? This is a council, we can generate income in other means and save it for future use or buy more equipments to improve the sports quality. Go organize internal events, encourage local talents, etc.
No, the council only became active during the external event which is probably once a year, and then go quiet till next year. Yes, I did voice that out, but guess what...90% only saw the coming event and not the future events. Why do we need to raise fund la...no time for that, bla bla bla... When speak of their rights, ohhh.... they wanted to be excused from work an hour earlier so that they could seriously train for the event. Duh... I don't see why we should neglect our work just because you want to train so hard. Guess what, everyone arrived at 530pm, see what I mean?
As for my staff, they have been quite discipline. I told them, they should change half hour earlier and leave by 5pm sharp. They did and they didn't skip work though. Again, these veterans la (I mean those in the committee for sometime) think that we, the young ones know what la, know nothing, as if our presence threatens their tradisional ways of management. I am not impressed at all. So, be my guest...do what you do best, may the council sleep in peace, lol... I have more things to deal with besides that. Anyways, I have my own team to deal with, so let's just concentrate on that.
Oh yea, I am travelling tomorrow. Dunno why, but felt a lil excited. Booked this hotel, kinda new in town. Gonna go and rest on the nice bed while watching tv for the whole night. Maybe try to catch a movie at the Mall. Fred suggested for seafood in town. Maybe I'll ask if Shah wanted to join me for seafood dinner tomorrow or maybe Nurul. I have lost 2kgs, small achievement but hey in a month time! Lots of veges and fruits will just do that.
So exhausted now already. A lil lazy to pack the clothes. Going light this time. Shouldn't be a problem if packing tomorrow before leaving. Wow... did I just say recap in a nutshell. Surely had gone over quota, hehe... Okay, time to rest now.
Adios
