Saw the letter on the desk this morning dated 3rd March 2009, another notice to attend a meeting at another town today. So last minute again decision. Travelling sometimes make me sick, no, I mean physically I am prone to motion sickness especially lately.
Then I thought it would be a chance to visit ma dentist friend in the town again. Well, I'd always wanted to scale the teeth coz there was quite alot of $#@#$ and sometimes with gum bleeding. The plan has never succeeded becoz I was all the time working and there would hardly be time to visit a dentist in another town. My dentist friends have been kind enough to offer me an immediate scaling whenever I drop by their town. One thing that YH wouldn't want to do: Not by a friend who is a dentist, ew....
The last attempt was last month when I was supposed to see Leen at a further town since I was sent for a course there. I was late, indeed very late after work and rushing in the rain. So, finally, I called her up and told her I wouldn't make it on that day. And yes, I did it this very evening after the meeting. That one also rushing right after the meeting when the boss said, "ok, thanks for coming."
The rain then started to pour like sooooo hard, harder than you may think. So, there I was, sitting on a patient's foldable chair. The last time I had scaling was 5 years ago. Ng had his done last month and he warned of the sentivity of the teeth may become. Dun drink tea or coffee coz they stain the teeth. Ouch, bleeding plus plus. That picture was playing on my mind when Eva put the spot light onto my oral cavity.
With a gulp, I was saying, "you will do it gently right?". Noticed me being worried, Eva assured me that she would be extra gentle. The whole session lasted 15mins but it felt like 1hour though. Considering opening your mouth all the time with instruments in and out, you just wanted it to be done soon. Then, a sudden hmmm...came from her. What? I couldn't ask coz the mouth was occupied and I didn't want to interrupt her work. We did 3 times, and finally, she said: done! Floss your teeth and come back in 6 months time.
Gee..I was so glad it's done. Nicely done. Can feel some gaps in between teeth as if breathing through it. But it's clean now. No more hard calculus. It was 5pm already, she had another patient to see. We chatted a while and I had to leave also because the driver was waiting. The rain is still pouring at this time of writing. Seems like the rainy season is back.
Some pictures were taken during the visit to the cultural festivity. Fun but so packed!
